Protein rich foods keep your blood sugar levels balanced and keeps you feeling full longer.

Here is a sample list of some foods that are healthy, nutritional and rich in protein:

  • Avocado butter

  • Seitan or vegan mock meat

Step 2: Continuous Hydration

Water is life. There are so many things we can accomplish through hydration so it so come as no surprise that keeping hydrated helps you produce more breast milk for your baby.

Breastfeeding mothers need as much hydration as possible. One of the key reasons behind low breast milk supply is dehydration.

A strong indicator of dehydration is colored urine. If you are fully hydrated your urine will be clear or almost clear. On the opposite end of the scale when you are very dehydrated your urine will be dark or orange in color.

Water is essential but it does not end there, you also need to consume nutritional fluids.

When your baby feeds from your breast milk it consumes not just fluid but nutrients so you must replace those fluids and nutrients.
